LATIN INTERNET PROJECT

You will find and present a website to the class on classical culture or Latin language. You may find it by combining topics of interest on a search of the Internet, or you may hear of an interesting website from friends or acquaintances. Another method is to follow links from known websites.

Make sure to keep notes on each step of your search, as tracing and recreating your process is a component of evaluation.

Presentation dates will be assigned from the following pool : ______________________________________________________________________________

Check your school and personal calendar for preferences, and we will assign dates in class on _______________.

You will also complete a review of the website for our notebook and bulletin board. Use the review form provided. As you will need to communicate with the holder of the site, you may need to track several pages simultaneously and decide later which to present.

Your oral presentation should be 10 - 15 minutes.

Evaluation:

25% creative search -- original parameters, # of jumps, how it was recommended?
40% documentation -- steps of search, evaluation form, address, top page of it
20% appropriate to classical culture/interest level
10% clarity of class presentation
5% communication with website holder
